Scholarships For Everyone

  1. The Home Depot Foundation Path to Pro Scholarship

    1. Amount: $2,500

    2. Deadline: March 31st/June 30th/September 30th/December 31st

    3. Eligibility:

      1. Be a high school senior, high school graduate, or have a GED equivalent.

      2. Plan to enroll, or be enrolled within 1 year, in an approved trade-related program at an accredited two-year school or institution (i.e., technical/vocational school, community college, or training center) in the United States.

      3. Not be an employee or dependent of an employee of The Home Depot. Employees of The Home Depot and their dependents are eligible to apply for a scholarship from The Homer Fund. 

      4. Programs/Career Paths: Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing

  2. Bring Back the Trades Inc. Scholarships

    1. Amount: $1,500

    2. Deadline: No deadlines - monthly scholarships given 

    3. Eligibility:

      1. High school senior or graduate

      2. Enrolled or plan to enroll in an approved, accredited program

      3. Provide the tuition bill/cost statement from the school

    4. Requirements:

      1. Provide the tuition bill/cost statement from the school

      2. Essay or share a short video explaining why you deserve the scholarship

  3. Jon Denzer Bear Hug Foundation: Path to Good Scholarship 

    1. Amount: $1,500 

    2. Deadline: At least 4 weeks prior to the start of your course

    3. Eligibility:

      1. Applicants must have or be on a path to graduate from High School and/or achieve a GED.

      2. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of financial need. (Tax return or latest pay stub)

      3. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the educational institution or to the apprenticeship program, as applicable.

      4. If requested, the applicant must be able to provide a reference letter from a parent, teacher, employer, or other associate

  4. DEWALT Trades Scholarship

    1. Amount: $5,000 

    2. Deadline: February 28th, 2027

    3. Eligibility:

      1. Currently enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary school or training program and pursuing a high-demand skilled trade. 

      2. Eligible Locations: United States and Canada.

      3. Pursuing educational training related to one of the following industries:

        1. Construction

        2. Industrial

        3. Motor/Power

        4. Mechanics

        5. Technology

      4. Employees and/or spouses or dependents of employees of Stanley Black & Decker or DEWALT are not eligible to apply.

Scholarships for High School Students

  1. Mike Rowe Works Foundation Scholarship

    1. Amount: varies based on need - can be up to $10,000

    2. Deadline: April 30th/June 30th/August 30th/October 30th

    3. Eligibility: 

      1. U.S. citizen

      2. High school senior or graduate

      3. Enrolled or plan to enroll in an approved, accredited program

      4. Provide the tuition bill/cost statement from the school

    4. Requirements:

      1. Record a short introduction video

      2. Provide at least 2 references from a teacher/employer/supervisor/etc. & their contact information

      3. Provide your high school transcripts 

  2. Pathways to Careers Scholarships 

    1. Amount: $500 - $1,000

    2. Deadline: March 31st

    3. Eligibility: 

      1. High school graduate/GED equivalent 

      2. Enrolled or plan to enroll in an approved, accredited program

      3. Provide the tuition bill/cost statement from the school

  3. Tammy Stratman Brown Charities Vocational and Trade School Scholarship

    1. Amount: Varies

    2. Deadline: March 2027

    3. Eligibility:

      1. high school senior who lives in the Troy R-III or Wentzville R-IV school districts (Students who attend private school or home school are eligible if they live within the boundaries of Troy Buchanan High School, Holt High School, Liberty High School, North Point, or Timberland High School).

      2. planning to attend an accredited trade, technical, or vocational school or program

  4. CCDI Build Our Future Diversity Scholarship

    1. Amount: Up to $5,000 per year, renewable for up to $20,000 total

    2. Deadline: April 2027

    3. Eligibility:

      1. High school senior

      2. Resident of St. Louis City or St. Louis County

      3. Preference given to students of color and females

      4. Pursuing a degree or credential in:

        1. Engineering

        2. Architecture & Design

        3. Construction or Project Management

        4. Safety Management

        5. Information Technology related to construction

        6. Career and technical education (CTE) trades programs

        7. Missouri colleges or technical schools are preferred, but not required

        8. Students planning to attend an electrical or plumbing program at Ranken will be given priority over other trades programs

Scholarships For Adults

  1. Missouri Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant 

    1. FRTC is not approved yet

Scholarships for Women

  1. Kris Paper Legacy Scholarship For Women In Technology

    1. Amount: $1,500

    2. Deadline: April 15th, 2027

    3. Eligibility:

      1. Graduating female seniors or returning female college students from the greater Kansas City area 

      2. Have a minimum 3.2 GPA (rigor of curriculum will be taken into consideration)

Scholarships For Military/Veterans

  1. U.S. Dept. of Defense SkillBridge Scholarship

    1. FRTC needs to apply to be a SkillBridge provider - Spring ‘26 application is closed
